Hi,
From what you say it seems the battery may have drained when it was left (unless, as suggested the alternator hadn't been charging it and it was flat ish when you left it). Does it have an alarm / immobiliser or other stuff that draw any current with the ignition off? As to the noise, do you hear it in neutral and in all gears - or just neutral when idling? If it goes when the clutch is depressed it is related to the gearbox and beyond. It it is only when in gear maybe something on the prop side of things - if it is there in neutral then my guess would be something around the area of the input shaft to the gearbox as this turns in neutral until you depress the clutch. Thanks Guys
Found the culprit -- a mobile phone charger plugged into a aux cigarette plug in the back of the vehicle. Had a mechanic look at it -- seems to be the " Release bearing" playing up. Anyone had problems with this before what causes it to break or damage? |

Searching on the forum it seems it is common to have clutch issues - Is there perhaps a aftermarket Heavy duty one that would be better to replace the existing one?

True but the replacement doesn't always fix it! Mike |
