Selective Land Rover wave puzzle
Most mornings I see a guy in a 'Bespoke' 110 (he used to have a Kahn built 90).

If I'm in the 110, he always waves..
One evening I saw him stranded with hazards on, so I spun around and offered to help him out, his motor had gone in to limp mode and he rang the RAC. So he fired it up for me to listen to and the faults had cleared, so off he went, grateful for the help.

When I go work in Mrs Greeni's 90, he never waves.

So do you pick and choose?

I almost always wave, but some parts of the country have a lot more wave-repliers than others.
I don't wave on motorways or if I'm at a junction.

It's a bit like Russian Roulette?

If I wave, and they don't, I end up feeling a bit of a c##k! Laughing

I don't bother with the farm trucks, but I did get a wave from one for the first time last week,
Which took me by suprise, and I never even waved back. Embarassed

At least I think it was a wave?..... Rolling with laughter

Some do, some don't I can't see any pattern to it? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

I'm guessing he only waves to 110 drivers because that's what he has. When he had the 90 did he only used to wave if you were in a 90?

I pretty much Wave at any Defender version,

The only exception the water board trucks with the cherry pickers Smile

There a young lady I've noticed a few time now on my way to work in a white 90, she gives the biggest smile and a wave as we pass... I think it must be new to her (the 90)

Thumbs Up

I suspect he doesn't wave at pick-up 90's as in my experience I rarely get a wave back from utility/farmer Defender drivers.

However I wave at all Defenders, I thought it was the law Shocked Rolling with laughter James

Assuming I see a Defender in time (bombing down the motorway being the main exception) I always wave. Even had a couple of HM forces wave back in the past. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.
