Clunk Free Gear Change
That's right... Clunk free gear changes are possible... This is what I've done to my 13my110 to get it sorted...

Replaced rear drive shafts with single piece 16my drive shafts/ I think they are also the same a discovery 2 drive shafts..Then fitted an Ashcroft transfer shaft whilst the gearbox was out AGAIN for it's 3rd clutch in 31000miles... Replaced this time with a SACHS clutch kit (Dargel recommended)... Which seems 10-15% lighter in operation... Then a BAS quickshift kit.... The gearchange and 'throttle' connection to the wheels is much better, On/off has no clunk now either... Next is a double carden front propshaft to remove the drivetrain vibration at 45mph...

Regards

Tim It doesn't matter how bad it is, It can always get worse...

Interesting post Tim. I have a 15 plate Puma, when did the 16MY actually start and can you tell from looking externally which drive shafts you have?

Thanks
John

You can tell the model year through the VIN plate after the usual SALL.... your VIN will then give two letters before the last set of 6 numbers so DA189345 or EA097395 or FA873026 It is this that gives the year:

2012 - CA
2013 - DA
2014 - EA
2015 - FA
2015 - GA
2016 - HA

The rear drive flanges referred to go from the separate one from the shaft which have the rubber cap on the end. To an all in one flange and shaft.
