Thanks Ian, as my bestie (and forum member) Kev says;
"It's a brand new motor, in an old frock " The paint is from Paragon and it's keswick green, in satin, applied by roller!! It looks good from afar, but it's far from good Exactly how I want it. |

Just catching up on this thread. Fantastic news to hear she moves under her own steam.
This is a truly awesome looking truck! Any more detail on it? I'm guessing V8 powered, bob tailed Arabian Special? 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

It's that sort of look and Finnish I want to achieve with the series 3 I'm just starting.
This too is for my good lady, what is it with girls and V8s?... I've just been through your entire thread, Cracking job I will look into the paint, what's it like to roller a Landy? Something I've never thought about before! I know many have done it, and seem to get great results. Any tips? Cheers 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Tips?
Lower your expectations I literally sanded the shine off the og paint that was on and just did 2 coats with the roller. It's surprising how it makes it look straight. I've rollered 4 motors now, but the previous 3 were drab olive. As I don't have lots of space in the garage, i expect a few scratches and knocks...with this finish, I'm totally not fussed. |

@rosco... Yeah there's a group of guys in UAE that put videos up on youtube of them blasting around the sands. Defenders are becoming super popular over there.

Great finish there Greeni, love the pick up at the moment and even better the subtle badge under the front grill Spot on 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Thanks Clayton
I wasn't too sure on the badge, I'll get bored of it and eventually pull it off no doubt! The front wings are quite rough, but I decided keep them, as Ninety's of this 'vintage' don't have the side repeaters fitted and trying to find replacements is nigh on impossible. I do really, really love the truck cab look, but as this will be a beach runner, it should look pretty cool with a rolled up rag on it. Hopefully. |
