Full vehicle voltage, so nominally 12v but closer to 14v when the engine is running. Darren

If your chasing a problem such as it being dull on opening the doors but OK when switched manually have a look at the door switches for bad earth connections. Cheers,

The quality of the door contacts shouldn't make any difference on a TD5 because the interior lighting is controlled by the 10AS alarm doofer.
They have a permanent 12V feed to one side of the bulb then the switch selects whether the other side is connected to nothing (off), 0V (on) or the 10AS (auto). |
