Hi nick, looking great mate I looked forward to seeing when it's on the road I have been having serious thought about getting a series 3 for my 40th birthday treat to myself this year to restore and put a rag top on, I now know who to ask when I get stuck

I'm really impressed by that. Makes me want to buy a drone. Land Rovers look great. Nice to see the old and new together. Do you know what type of drone he used?

Thought I had better give an update on what has been going on with my old series.
Always been a bit noisy in the axles so decided to investigate, to cut a long story short I have stripped and re_built both the front and rear axles. Front has had all new bearings, seals and swivels, there was a lot of wear throughout the axle and a tidy up was well overdue. Click image to enlarge The brakes have all been overhauled, and everything has been repainted and tidied up. The back axle was a lot more straightforward, but was certainly due a rebuild, just the brake pipes to tidy-up and we are all finished Click image to enlarge Finished the winters projects off with an oil change and adjusted the timing and she's good to go. Click image to enlarge Really enjoy my old truck, learning lots of new skills and don't regret buying her one bit. Nick |

Fantastic!. All these oldies are giving me such an itch but I don't have the technical skills to care for one.

It's not our farm, but we are very lucky to work and live at such a great place, gets a bit busy sometimes and makes fitting in hobbies a bit difficult, but my job is also a hobby.
Busy calving at present (along with a few other jobs). Click image to enlarge Nick |

It certainly a lot easier when it's been converted to fully-floating hubs. The original semi-floating hubs make wheel bearings a bit of a challenge! |

Took the old girl for a day out to the Flywheel Event at the Bicester Heritage Centre. Had a fantastic day out with a lot to see, from race cars to WW1 fighter planes and most things in between.
The car park was interesting! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge This was the pre 1970s car park and there was some great motors Click image to enlarge Nick |
