Remapped ECU

I bought a remapped ECU from a forum member about a year ago and recently the ECU has started playing up
The engine cuts out on the motorway then bursts back to life
If I stop for fuel I can't get the engine started again up till now it's been great
Anyone have any experience of getting ECU's repaired

Does the engine crank, but does not fire ?

Does it work fine with the other ECU ? "Rafiki" 2007 110 STW - Rolling rebuild.
