Loose striker
Hi all,
The bonnett striker/Spring thing has come loose, which is allowing the bonnet to float up n down a bit too much,

It appears it has a nut inside the closed off bonnet section ? But that is just spinning around, and I can't see a way of holding/ wedging it so I can tighten it all up again ?

Any clues folks ?

I don't really want to fit aero catches or bonnett pins if I can help it

Thanks again n advance

Pull down on the striker and tighten as you would a bolt. Even if the retaining plate has broken free, if you tighten slowly I should think it will catch and tighten the striker. Ray

Thanks chaps,
Yep , I think the nut / plate inside the bonnet section is loose or un attached , I'll try pulling down whilst turning it,
Failing that I did think about trying to drill two holes on the inner bonnet but line up with the inner nut / plate, then try n put two tack welds on it ?
What ya thoughts on that ?
Cheers

A bit risky as it has to line up with the striker plate at the bottom Ray
