Pull down on the striker and tighten as you would a bolt. Even if the retaining plate has broken free, if you tighten slowly I should think it will catch and tighten the striker. Ray

Thanks chaps,
Yep , I think the nut / plate inside the bonnet section is loose or un attached , I'll try pulling down whilst turning it, Failing that I did think about trying to drill two holes on the inner bonnet but line up with the inner nut / plate, then try n put two tack welds on it ? What ya thoughts on that ? Cheers |

A bit risky as it has to line up with the striker plate at the bottom Ray
