Yes mate, basically as soon as I get it back it's going straight to my mates place. We will strip all the suspension/brakes etc and then do the dinitrol. Then all these nice shiny bits can go on. Andy

Andy has been asking what size the now redundant 'manual transmission' sign is on the dash, so it would seem every detail is being covered!! James

Spoke to Oliver at wildcat this evening so they delivered the next Defender on time today, now I seen this one when I dropped mine off 4 weeks ago and it was a complete shell, having the interior etc all done so fair play.
Click image to enlarge Good news is that I am now top on the list and should be ready in 2 weeks. @ Pickles it the 430hp/550lb variant they use, honestly when I have it home I will likely engineer it even more and I would love to tip the 500hp with the SC Guys at Alive are also hoping they can get me a subtle set of dials, like theirs but with Petrol on the fuel gauge, another wee detail covered. All good, but with a S/C you could have an EASY SIX HUNDRED PLUS H.P.!!....the internals of the engine will handle that with no worries at all.

A total 600bhp your next stop should be Bonneville, get the LSR for the world's fastest Defender. I'd come out as 'Crew' albeit only capable of making a BLT Monsieur Le Grenadier

Is that a DCPU? Looks like it has been semi-'Spectered'.... Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Yup. DCPU, don't think the Spectre wheels would lend themselves to the LS3... Andy

Curious to know how many LS3 conversions they do a year? I wouldn't imagine many but then again I might be surprised! James

Following this with MASSIVE interest, from the land of V8s.
In the other thread you showed some LS3 badges,.....they should DEFINITELY go on, where the TD5 or whatever decal usually sits, and one on the back, probably right hand side, just above tail lights, Defender badge etc. Pickles. |

^ Nope keep it stealth....
TDCi badge (ok maybe a red i) lets be honest when you press the go pedal anyone will know its not a diesel If you do badge it, subtle dark badge, not too in your face (I'm sure you have this sorted already....) How long now |

Must say I agree. That's also why if I get the chance to do the conversion I will keep it 6-speed manual, so anyone looking in will see a 'normal' interior. The double/quad pipes might be a giveaway!! Monsieur Le Grenadier
