TD5 110 mid cross member bolts M8 x20?
Hi,

I need to loosen the mid cross member on my 110 to (finally) patch some repairs to the seat box.
As I suspect I'll have to grind off the nuts, am I correct that they are M8 x 20 flange bolts/nuts?

Many thanks.

I use m8x20 on chassis swaps on most mountings. Buy them 5000 at a time Mr. Green

Thanks Paul,

I looked on line and it stated M8 flanged nuts/bolts.
However, none I have just taken off my mid crossmember were flanged....
Does it matter so long as washers are in place?
Would using nylocs be a good idea, or just go with spring washers?

Cheers,

Rob

I just use conventional zinc plated bolts. Washer both sides and always use nylocs Thumbs Up 2000 90 TD5,galv chassis, d2 axles ,Bas remap , alisport intercooler , d2 transfer box , side windows-more to come-much more!! *GONE*

Just about to replace my fixings on this. Should you use any anti-sieze with Nylocs such as copper grease, and any thoughts on torque? Does copper slip affect torquing?

I've done an internet search, and much conflicting opinion.

Many thanks

It certainly wouldn't hurt. Always grateful of copper grease when you need to remove that part in 5 years time Thumbs Up 2000 90 TD5,galv chassis, d2 axles ,Bas remap , alisport intercooler , d2 transfer box , side windows-more to come-much more!! *GONE*
