Only just read this thread. Wow, great work, you're a talented man!
If you're ever out green laning and fancy some company, I'd love to discover some lanes over your way! I was in Rendlesham Forest cycling with my son on Saturday and I thought there must be some lanes around. I know you can read maps etc but it's so much nicer with a personal guide James MY2012 110 2.2TDCi XS SW Orkney Grey - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic43410.html MY1990 110 200TDi SW beautifully faded Portofino Red - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post743641.html#743641 MY1984 90 V8 Slate Grey - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post744557.html#744557 Instagram @suffolk_rovers |

Frustratingly there are very few places that you can drive round Rendlesham and Tunstall, apart from a few sandy farm tracks between Sutton and Shottisham. The track from the Dunwich Road to Walberswick village is good if you're up that way, but quite short and isolated. If there are better lanes out there, I've not found them.

Passed the MOT today without any advisory notes. I think it helped that the old boy who tested it drove one for 13 years and the fellow that booked it in used to have a Series 1 recovery truck.

Got very wet and muddy at the New Years' day laning in Thetford forest.
Click image to enlarge Was impressed by how well it coped with the ruts and mud, but perhaps shouldn't be. I brimmed the tank before leaving home and again when I got to Thetford before heading off into the forest and it did the 53 mile trip up on 10.5 litres, which is 23mpg.
