No, no stamps on mine.
I got them at a killer deal, black primed. Got them painted with high end heat resistant paint and still were cheaper than originals by a very wide margin. Was a little afraid that I got flimsy copies but calmed down once compared with an original. Even weight the same. They were easy to balance and are keeping pressure nicely |

Genuine ones are stamped with the part number, tubed/tubeless, offset, size/width, and Dunlop logo.

Hello DorsetSmith, great post.
My Defender uses modulars at present with cheap spacers, bolts too short for my garage's liking. Would authentic Wolves take 255 85 tyres and give a better turning circle without spacers? Also if they are heavier than modulars, I assume they would absorb more bumps and shocks? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender |

I now have a spare set of genuine Wolfs to repaint cream/white to match the Puma roof. 4x wheels are in really good shape but silver so I'm assuming a paint shop can simply spray them, but the spare is in more of a mess so would it need bead blasting or similar first? Rob

Wolfs take 255/85s no issue. Turning circle depends on the offset of your current wheels, and if you don't know what the offset is then you can measure it. Once you know the offset of what you've got, add in the spacers and compare that to the offset of the Wolf. Wheels being heavier increase the unsprung weight which should make the ride, handling and acceleration slightly worse. Give it's a fairly heavy tyre I have no idea how much you'd actually notice and the unsprung weight on a Defender is pretty massive anyway. |

Sorry to bump this thread, but it seems like the most relevant place to put this information and I couldn't find it anywhere else.
I've just got my Wolf wheels back from being shotblasted and primed and decided to weight them, and to compare that to the weight of my standard steel wheels. ANR4583, genuine Wolf with no tyre, 15.2kg Standard steel with new 7.50R16 Michelin Latitude, 28kg Weight of tyre (I have a good condition one not mounted) 17kg Calculated weight of standard wheel, 11kg So the Wolf is 4kg per corner heavier. I'd love to know what the Boost alloy weighs, according to one source I've found it's 12.2kg, according to another it's 11-11.5kg. |

You only have to look at the gauge (thickness) of steel used in the wolfs to know they are a heavy wheel! That brings advantages and disadvantages

Raptor 4x4 do 'Wolf' style wheels but with an ET0 offset, so will stick out 20mm wider than genuine ones.
