One option is use the SVX type bases which have the screw holes in (LR009773)

These are about £13 each, and have a nice bit of foam on the back to cushion the bodywork.

Or you can adapt the OE NAS plinth (AMR3850 but the version available without the captive bolts) and drill two holes for mounting screws

These are about £4 each, no foam on the back.

However, at the upper side/brake lamp position, you can't get a drilled AMR3850 NAS base aligned correctly due to the large opening in the middle (it is large to clear a filament bulb holder). It sticks out past the edge of the capping.

The SVX plinth has a smaller centre hole than the NAS base, and as you can see from the pic, a variety of mounting holes are available to get the lamp to sit in board (well, right on the edge) of the capping.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

^ Is that good or bad though....

£20 each (poss a bit less as a deal with the lights) but if its £14 for a plastic job and they fit 100% its a bit different?

Just wasn't aware someone was making aluminium copies Smile

You only need the SVX ones on the top corners, the £4 ones (with holes drilled) are perfect at the bottom.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Also

If you have a swing out rear wheel being slightly less deep than oem means the wheel will not touch.

No problem for me as I don't but could help?

I don't mind those, it's a shame they don't fit the genuine Perei lights. I wonder why?

Le Perei, hmmm, not a brand I'm a fan of.
If they are anything like the b...s up like the number plate light then they are rubbish.
Wipac and RDX on the other hand, faultless.

In my experience with NAS filament lamps: Wipac - awful, filled with water. Perei - great, only needed changing due to UV discolouration.

I have gone Perei for my rear LED conversion, very happy 18 months in. The Wipac and RDX etc offerings in LED 95mm look tacky in comparison (in my opinion). Smile  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Might depend on actual lights, mine are OE style not NAS.

So I know what you mean with NAS spec Wipac's they are chrome like.

My fog and reverse I wanted RDX LUX, some companies kept not describing properly and sending me Wipac's they looked like a Christmas tree bauble. Shocked

The Wipac number plate light IMO is superior, and personally I only like SMD LED's.

But that is just me, most last well but it's the look that is more personal taste. Thumbs Up

I'm never going to get a £600 set of rear lights round the financial controller...

Compared to £250 (with the alloy plinths and front wing indicator lights)

I'm still unsure about clear to be honest but I have to choose something....to go with the front look.

On my car I guess they will look like this.. as its black. I do quite like it.

to tone down the 'Bling' look I also thought about these guards..colour coded to my car in Santorini.

At the end of the day, if I'm not keep I can swap them Thumbs Up

One option for you could be:

Clear LED stop/tail (SVX type)
White lenses for indicators, silvered bulbs
Clear LED fog light (SVX type)

It depends if you like the style of LED lamp with "discrete" LEDs on the surface (very much not discreet!)  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
