2006 TD5 dash repair...
Before I proceed with a purchase I thought I would ask if anyone had any problems installing the raptor dash over panels or any pics of one in situ?

My head unit casing is broken and the replacement OEM part as far as I can see is about the same as the raptor panel.

Advice always appreciated folks.l

Surely that will be a right pain?

Isn't the raptor deisgned for Pre Td5 Dash Facelifts?

The LR part is about £40 from memory for black and £80 for the Silver one

but what about the Mud Stuff front?

http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/mud-stuff/td5-facia-plate.html

£15 and would sort out a busted radio facia

I have the raptor fascia, its perfectly made, aside from some nubs left over from the cutting process. However the spaces for the switches are more perfectly aligned than the actual ones on the dash, which means a few switches can look out of line and also rub slightly. Dependent on how OCD you are about these sort of things it can be no issue or an irritation.
I chose the "fettle a bit, live with the rest" approach as it holds a double din firmly. The full fascia looks better than the partial one to me.

I fitted a raptor dash panel and replaced the cigar lighter with a blue sea USB socket a few nights ago, really pleased with both products.

Thank you, yours look great too! I wasn't aware of that panel, looks like a good solution to a terrible bit of design from Land Rover! Thumbs Up
