Well , the chassis is in surprisingly good condition, bulkhead needs minor repairs in the usual places and as you can see, it needs a good clean! First job is to take that bull bar off, it's bent back and has pushed both front wheel spats in at the front. Plan is to keep it original, it has a 2.25 diesel, so I won't be able to go anywhere in a hurry!! Wheels need painting too, hope paint man will be in Peterborough. 2006 TD5110 station wagon

I accept your views on the patina, however, the panels are covered in green slime so I think I'll have to clean it, I won't be painting the body though, just the wheels. It has plenty of age related paint blemishes which will still retain some of its patina. In my opinion leaving it as it is would make it look a bit neglected. 2006 TD5110 station wagon

That looks like a real beast although I'm not sure about a 2.25 diesel I recently drove a 2.5 N/A 90 and it was what can only be described as pedestrian. With a smaller engine in a larger vehicle, it may be quicker to get out and push! Darren

What a gem!
As others have said, a good service, possibly replace the tyres as they may be past it and clean the paint off and you will have a really nice truck there Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |
