Time to sell as a) It is not getting the use it deserves. b) I have rediscovered the joys of two wheels and have a strong desire to scratch a very expensive expensive itch.
Whilst I appreciate the sentiments of putting it back to standard and selling the parts separately I simply cannot devote the time and effort in doing so. There are many extras and the list is not extant. Nevertheless this vehicle has been extremely looked after and cossetted as many of you may know. Due to the low mileage carried out over the last few years the vehicle has been dealer serviced on a mileage basis. There is approximately three years left of a five year Cobra Tracker contract thrown in and a tailor made vehicle cover which is itself alarmed and has fans to prevent sweating included, as well as the approximate £18-£20k of extras listed below. MOT due June 2017 with no advisories from this year just over 39K on the clock that may increase slightly. Interior is pristine and the exterior unblemished. If it doesn't sell the itch will have to wait to be scratched and I won't be too upset as this has been a conscience wrestling decision. Hope it sells quick as that will be the issue of Do I? Don't I? Done and dusted! Good luck Mal, and happy "Easy Ridering". 👍
Eric P.S. Just don't you dare to ever add one of those pig ugly warts of Hella on that Harley. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I wish you the very best of luck Mal.
It is an exceptional machine and one that has influenced and inspired many of us on here. It is a real credit to your attention to detail. Some time ago, I said to myself (only), that it'd be more cost effective to but your Defender rather than carry out the work on my own. Now that the time has come I can't put my money where my mouth is - unless you take Green Shield Stamps!!! For what it is worth, the potential replacement does (in my opinion) justify the sale, and you couldn't say that about many other vehicles! Best of luck |
