Thanks for your kind comments Gilarion. I will of course have the occasional mooch for prosperity on the forum. Just dropped a deposit on one of these. Brand new 1800cc v-twin with Screaming Eagle 110 engine with stage 1 and different pipes. Last chance I'll get of dropping that kind of money on a play thing.

Well done Mal Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Thank you all for your wishes. Yes I will still mooch about and anyone can drop me a 'pm.' I am a little relieved truth be told, having had one of my vehicle covers pinched and some toe rag try and twist the Light Forces off a while ago together with the constant worry of theft I will sleep a little easier.
Saw the bike for the first time yesterday and negotiated the extras etc. to be fitted. The first picture is mine straight out of the crate, and the second is the same model in black fitted with the Vance and Hines exhausts and Stage 1 I am having done together with a few other add ons. As far as trade offs are concerned I think it is part way justifiable. They both have a huge following, great heritage and are both 'warts 'n' all' type vehicles. Quick revisit.....The Landy arrived up in Scotland Friday apparently and on the very same day new arrival was delivered. Plate off the Landy transferred and job's a goodun. Will not mention the nightmare I had about getting her insured despite having 25 years no claims motorcycle insurance bonus........ Looks great, never imagined you'd have the same plate on her. No Guts, No Glory.

Thanks for your comments.
A couple of pictures from a trip out today in the winter sun. Covered more miles today on the Harley-Davidson today than I had in the Landy since last June. Looks good K9F. There's something about a Harley isn't there.
A friend of mine bought a S/H Road King Classic,..he bought it from the Widow of the late owner who died of cancer. She didn't sell it for a couple of years,...she just couldn't bring herself to do that, knowing how much her husband loved it. Anyway it was a few years old when my friend bought it, done about 11,000 klms, and it was a bit dirty/dusty etc. My friend is a mechanic, and He meticulously cleaned, pulled apart where necessary etc, anything that needed doing etc,....the bike is sort of metallic dark red, and it now looks BRAND NEW. Indian motor cycles are also gaining a fair following in Aussie. Pickles. |
