Have to say that will be fun....
When I had an ML I always wanted the ML63.... there is a RR sport SVR near me and I hear him give it beans.... it sounds great When fitted what sort of figures are you looking at with this? 0-60 30 - 50 dare I say V max? ooh and MPG do they fit a longer range tank. Its going to be great !!! Then theirs me looking at the Urban truck 'Ultimate performance pack' Hardly ultimate compared to what your doing... although I would be happy with the claimed 175bhp and 500NM of torque |

I am getting the centre console unfinshed so that i can make it suit my ideas. I will probably have a nice billet alloy surround machined and then either carbon dipped or just painted in Corris, it will trim the gear selector unit and hold my switches, harzard and USB, can have a push start in there too.

Your design for the gear selector looks good, better than the urban one with the 4 bolts that don't line up.

Hello from Aussie, the land of V8s! We have owned many V8s, the last GM one being an HSV GTO Coupe powered by the 6L LS2, the LS3 of course has 6.2L & is a little more powerful, ....in your Defender, it will be amazing. Are you going with 18" wheels & AP 6 spots, or have you already fitted them,...a few members on here have, I can't remember who! Will you be using your standard Puma Defender instruments, speedo/tacho etc? This will be a very exciting thread,...looking forward to it. Pickles. Perfect timing MCMA, as I'm thinking of doing exactly the same. Should know about funding shortly and if a go, could get it done by year's end. So well done you, I shall watch this with interest. Couple of Qs for you and others following the post. First, I know most of those that do these upgrades go for V8 but interestingly Bowler's DC is a F-Type V6. Supercharged though, so same horses. Anyone have any thoughts as to why one would choose V8 over V6 or vice versa? Sound might be an reason, but they're both great: Personally I've come to the conclusion that whilst I love the sound of the V6 it sounds more 'sports car' when throttled, whereas the V8 says 'truck'. This is the Bowler DC. Still sounds great... So I'm wndering why one over t'other? Fuel, emissions, weight, cost? On cost I wonder, given I assume it's rarer, that it might actually cost more to fit the V6 even if using the Ford Ecoboost as slotted in the F150, over the purry F-Type as used by Bowler..? Second, and talking of purry, given how important sound is to those of us thinking about a petrol upgrade, what thoughts on exhaust types and brands to make it sound awesome? Some V8s burble, some roar. I love the F-Type sound and wonder how that would be achieved? Finally, MCMA specifically, did Wild Cat recommend the Auto Gearbox or was that your choice? Part of me still thinks I'd prefer a six speed manual. Given I rarely sit in traffic and with the immense torque making light work of the hairpins and short straights I'm not sure whether the Auto would be needed on these Alpine roads. I like the idea of flicking through the gears by hand. ***Edit, just seen your post saying you've always wanted an Auto'*** MCMA, if you can PM me with an overview of timings and (if happy) approx cost, it would be much appreciated. Good luck, looking forward to seeing the results....
