That's true they originated as guard dogs in Roman times, they were used to protect the farm when the soldiers were away (apparently) They are protective but great with kids, Harry has been around kids since he was a pup and is a big softy with them. My only word of warning is their sheer size and weight means they can send adults flying if they bang into you and their tails are lethal when wagging! As with all breeds they're as dangerous as the owner makes them! No such thing as a bad dog...... Puma 2.2 90 Stationwagon |

Blimey Pouf do you walk that or ride it!?
I always remember working up at a dog kennels who had a couple of dogs like yours running around the field. Couldn't work out if it was a dog or a donkey from a distance! HUGE!!! Gorgeous animals though |

Very impressive pouf. You must be a strong swimmer to be able to push a big dog as far as that |

Here's Gem when she was a pup in my Disco II this picture was originally in Land Rover World when she was featured as Land Rover Dog of the month!
Click image to enlarge And now three years later whilst out green laning, as you can see she likes being up front... usually sneaking in when I have forgotten to put the seat covers on, so my seats are either covered in mud or "blonde" hairs Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated MAD COW 2007 90 Hard Top - 2009 BMW F800GS - 2002 CCM 604E Dual Sport Project90 Last edited by Mad Cow on 30th Jan 2011 6:21pm.
