Our little bean has been through the wars lately and we are well aware of the worry!

@Evil Elsie Very sorry to read about your doggo!
Big Cry It is truly heartbreaking. The only marginal comfort one can ever take is knowing how much love you had for them and them you... and even that isn't comforting in the slightest!! The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html

I know too well how it feels, we lost our dog a few months ago.

Very sorry to hear that Procta, very difficult indeed.

Understand your comments about Vets, I have more confidence in Agri vets than the rest.

A lot of the urban Vets in my opinion lack skill, knowledge and good attitude.
It’s just about lots and lots of money, huge investment's, big buildings and big pay outs from insurers that give them all their own way.

There i a lot of scamming going on I think with pet insurance like there was with motor insurance. Artificially inflating prices etc and more.

I always try and remember the good times, those memories never go.

Thanks lads, he is a massive miss. No barking at everything, also we were all expecting a bark, when i dinner was delivered. But he isn't here, to do that anymore. This has been one massive blow to us all has it not. I am still expecting to get the cold nose and the pawed, for my left overs.
When he had the problem the 1st time around, we all thought we wouldn't get the same sort of life span out of him, like we did out for prince, Who lived to 15 years old. Jasper only made it to 5 years old. I really did think we were wrong like, as only this time last month he was full of beans etc. How things have gone tits up very quickly to the point you got to laugh, My defenders gearbox is on the verge of biting the dust, and now the loss of my 5 year old pal.

Custom, you are not wrong there at all, and that's just the start of it. I blew my lid when they said it was a water infection, then 12 hrs later, a bust bladder, then things went down hill from there. All about money, and not about the animal. You would think, we will get him in to do checks etc just to make sure all is ok. The insurance bill, for him was looking well into 10k, and might have been very close to what my mam had him insured for, after this last shyte storm. The full system needs to be looked at, in my eyes. My little pal would be still here, if they had cared properly. Early hours of this mornings news, i could have punched someone. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Well lads, after things have been so sour, for us all. Cars breaking down, and lose of our jasper, last week.
My sister was looking for another bearded collie, over the weekend. She came across a farmer from Manchester. That was selling Bearded Collie pups. After a bit of chat amongst our selves, is it right to get another pal etc, We decided that the house was far to empty with out a dog, even though its been a week, after the loss of our Jasper.
Today we welcome this little fella. Thumbs Up

Matey's meet our new pal

Monty (little nose the second Laughing )
He seems so chilled, compared to jasper was when he was a pup. Also this one looks a bit more of bearded collie.

He has eating something from my hand, and was chuffed to bits, when my sister put him in Jaspers old bed. So a massive step from what he was in. He let me give his chest a rub after i took these photos of him, Some are crap quality.
Zeus our mainecoon, is about the size of him Shocked He is a little on edge, but the two seemed to be ok, with each other. Zeus will be thinking hang on you are not Jasper.

He has had a bit of a bath, and a comb, ( poor lad, not in the house five mins Laughing )
