worst car you have ever driven ....
the worst car i have ever driven was a nissan sunny, was a loan car for a day, glad i did not have to drive very far in it... seats made from cheap foam, steering worse than a defender, tinny and felt vulnerable .. not a nice experience

Surprisingly an 08 1.8 diesel focus. It had the most horrendous flat spot in acceleration. I was like a learner driver stalling at pull off. A well known fault according to the forums (pity I did not know before). Fitted a tuning box which re mapped it but by then me and the ford were over. Traded it in for a 10 plate Freelander 2 HSE all good! Smile

Lada Niva, once took one as a P/X at work (gave the guy a years warranty for it) decided to take it for a drive and it was truly awful. Eventually sold it to a chap from Wales who picked it up and drove it home. Always wondered how he got on. 2005 Td5 90 XS

A Citroen c4 as a rental in the south of France. I wish I had driven the Land Rover down instead of flying and hiring. Horrible car, really terrible Laughing 2.2 Tdci 110 XS CSW Corris Grey

Back in the day, mid '80s went to Jersey, we hired a Fiat Panda. That was/is the worst car I have ever driven. Cheers Simon

Tough one this, but I think the metro owned by a mates mum clinches it. He only asked me to drive it 3 miles along a virtually straight road, but got to be one of the worst 15 minutes of my driving career! 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Morris Marina 1.8 TC - frightening in a straight line and lethal if you turned the steering wheel at any speed in excess of 25 mph.

Alfa Romeo Alfasud - Got it as a courtesy car, you needed feet like a ballet dancer to avoid hitting 2 pedals at once, add to that the pedals were offset which didnt help matters, naturally it had zero fuel in it when I collected it so got it to the fuel station put the key into the fuel cap cover to remove it and the key sheared off, that was enough, so pushed it off the forecourt and called the garage to come and collect it. Needless to say I've never considered buying an Alfa.

A high mileage mini metro. A disgrace to ever give the vehicle the name mini. It did the job (a cheap hire car whilst I had my motor put back together). The only positive was it had a hatch back and it took BMW to work out what the classic Mini really needed for all those years.
Also had bad experiences with Vauxhall Midi vans. We got four new ones at work once and they spent most of the first six weeks of their lives being repaired by the main dealer. And that's where they spent a lot of the next 3 years until the lease was out.

Vauxhall insignia, I've driven many, many cars, but nothing like this, absolutely hateful. I refuse to believe that anyone has ever chosen to buy one with their own money!

I would genuinely rather walk than have to drive one again.

My Dad would second this. He had the lesser 1.3 deluxe model in a rather delightful dog s#it orange colour mixed with large amounts of rust which seemed popular in cars of the seventies. It was lethal round corners - I dread to think what the 1.8 TC would have been like? The 1.3 went 0-60 in one bank holiday weekend and needed the same amount of time to stop if you were lucky. Morris in their wisdom made the hole for the radio such a unique shape, no one made one to fit. It just about summed up everything that was bad about 1970's cars - I know the Marina wasn't alone in this. These were dark times for car design and manufactures.......
