Good news Hollie is OK, she went down to theatre in the early hours of this morning to place a drain in an area where an infection had started but all is fine now.
I made a joke to Hollie about her nurse this afternoon, who is a little bit fat, and I said she is probably fat because she eats all the deserts up left by the patients, and Hollie giggled and she said to me your funny dad, and then she said I am sleepy and her eyes closed and she fell asleep, she is worn out poor thing. I spoke with her surgeon today and he is very pleased with how the operation went and said the infection is always a risk but that they now have it under control. Hollie will remain in a high dependency ward for a few days but then hopefully will be transferred to a general ward. The prognoses is very good and Hollie should make a full recovery. Hollies mum is still staying at the hospital, but tonight I am driving back to wales to check the cottage and the animals. A good neighbour has been looking after them for a week and keeping an eye on the property. I will travel back to Manchester tomorrow afternoon. That's good news, you've all been on my mind after reading about going back to theatre.
It sounds like the care she is receiving is top class. Cheers, Kyle. |
