Great to here Hollie is doing well Thumbs Up

Take the opportunity to catch up on some rest yourself (as best you can). She's in good hands, even if the nurse is over doing the puddings. 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Just a short update.

Hollie is great, her infection is now almost gone, thanks to Mr Williamson a great bloke.

Hollie will be out of the high dependency ward on Saturday, should be tomorrow, but there is a shortage of beds. Tonight she is well and mobile out of bed and being herself.

You have no idea what that means, eight days ago I thought, well it does not matter now, and she is fine.

I have to say, I am so glad I am British and that we have the finest health service in the world, and do not let anyone argue with that.

My daughter is not the richest or the most important person in this land but she has been treated as if she was and whatever I pay in taxes is not enough having seen how the money is spent in the NHS when you need it, I would for one give more if asked.

I watched the news today and saw that little boy in Syria all confused, bloody and dazed all alone and hurt, and I thought poor little guy, how different his life is against my little Hollie who has the best care that life can give. I wish like my daughter he could have the same, lets hope so. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Excellent news.
Hopefully it won't be long until your all back home and yelling at her to clean her room. Cheers,
Kyle.

Thanks for the continued updates, it's a real relief to know that Hollie is getting better.

As you say, it makes you so thankful for the NHS, I can't imagine what it's like in other countries where your care is dependent on your ability to pay. Or worse, like in Syria where the whole country is a mess.

Best wishes

Simon

Gillarion, fantastic progress. I too reflected on the situation of the Syrian boy and Hollie's position. I can in no way compute what you are facing, but as you point out she is being helped as much as she can. Situations such as Aleppo are tragic at the best of times, more so for the smallest and most vulnerable of us. An image we should all see and reflect on and be grateful for what we have. I hope you don't mind my posting it?

And it's great that despite all the dirge we hear on the TV about the state of the NHS, when it matters they do whatever they can for you. Whilst I never did medicine myself, I'm from a medical family and have many friends who also practice, and in the large part you simply cannot fault their desire to help those who need it most.

Wishing Hollie continued speedy recovery, and you and your family all the very best. Thumbs Up
