Not today but Sunday....
Got up at 6am to drive from one side of Kent to the very extream other to spend a day in a field cutting nettles, tall grass and generic weeds away from the fenceline. finishing off with some hedges and generic "oh, while your here, could you just..." Long day which was made slightly more difficult by a dog bite to the back of my calf Quite enjoyed working outside again though so not a bad day all in Plus some cash to go towards the bills as my girlfriend is still struggling to find work and get any answers from her previous "employer" And then the rest of the week just drove to and from work very monotonously. During this weeks evenings I have fit some Warn dual beam roof lights to my 110. It has been a struggle! I don't do electrics and have had to do some proper home work making sure I had decent cable, relays, waterproof connections and fuses etc, then with the help of a family friend who was an aeronautic engineer some many many years ago I think I've done a decent job. Although some tidying to do as a cant get the stereo back in its slot
Utter confusion Click image to enlarge The carnage Click image to enlarge The end result (some cable ties to snip as didn't finish till 00:30) Click image to enlarge Then stopped on my way back to my hotel (oh, have been on a work course all week as well!) Headlight low beam Click image to enlarge Headlight main beam Click image to enlarge Roof light low beam Click image to enlarge Roof light high beam Click image to enlarge Chuffed with the end result, or will be once I've done the last bit of tidying up. I have them so they so they can't come on at all son car lights only, do exactly what the headlights do so dip when the car is in dip, main when car is in main, a hidden switch so I can have the roof lights only on (for arty Instagram photos really). They should pass the MoT which is next month. The slow -very slow- journey back to its former (pre crap grey re spray) G4 event vehicle. Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful! |

I think you will find that to be road legal your roof lights must extinguish when your obligatory front lights (headlights) are dipped, dipped roof lights with dipped beam would not, as far as I know, be legal. |

Glad they found it!
Added Climair wind deflectors to mine today. Took longer to undo Paddocks packaging than it did fitting them. Hopefully they'll do the job. |
