MY GAP IID Tool won't write stuff to my Defender.
I've been trying to change some settings in my Defender's computer and it keeps failing.
It will read settings quite happily but crashes every time I try and write something.

How do I know whether the problem is with the Defender or the tool? Do Defender computers get issues which mean I wouldn't be able to write to it?

Edit: ECU history, it's had Alive disable the EGR valve (and they didn't complain) and Remote Key program a new key to it (which worked fine). I've never been able to write anything with the GAP tool.

Anything!
It's saying that the injector learning hasn't been done so I started off with that, but I can't even adjust things like the speed limiter or how the interior lights function.

Android.

If it's likely to be the tool at fault then I'll contact their support. If it's likely to be the Defender at fault then I've no idea what I'd do to fix it!

Suggestions

If you have a IOS device try that, Check that the firmware is oppgraded to the lastest stabile and the App is up to date.

I havent flashed a Puma, but have done loads of D3 / RRS / evoque with it. "Rafiki" 2007 110 STW - Rolling rebuild.

I cant recall exactly what it said and when but that message rings a bell.

In my case it was because the engine was cooling during the processes. It had to be above some value (that I forget, but it is in the manual if I recall) for the complete procedure.

Once I took it for a good blat and stored enough heat in the whole engine block and not just the area the heat sensor that the tool determines that it's ok to start because it's 'warm enough' it was good to go. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...
