You have to unplug the red plug and look at the terminals. Ray

Which is bloody annoying as the dealer promised me they would check this prior to me having it.

Take it back and get them to change the injector loom and clean out all the ecu plug. Ray

They're too far from me to take it back, unlikely they'd do anything anyway...

Shouldn't cost me too much and I'm going to go for a warranty claim, hopefully will get it covered.

Just glad it's nothing more serious to be honest!

Thanks for all the replies.

did you disconnect it and look into the contacts? they can look dry on the outside and be literally ringing wet inside with oil.

I'd check RM the seals and the fuel pressure. I'd also plug it in and make sure the crank signal etc is fine too. 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)

It's in the garage at the mo, had a new loom. Apparently there was a lot of oil in there.

At least it's given me a chance to get the old girl out...

She feels like a jet fighter compared to the Defender!

The red plug will probably need cleaning out about once a week for the next month or two as some oil will still be coming down the main loom. Ray
