A, B, pretty indistinguishable nowadays...
Looking at some Magnatec with 5W-30 A1 on the big label, the small print reads SAE 5W-30, ACEA A1/B1, A5/B5; Meets Ford WSS-M2C913-A, WSS-M2C913-B, WSS-M2C913-C. Oil is oil, but at least with Castrol you get the occasional offer of 4 litres for twenty quid or so from Asda, and guaranteed new and not collected from garages, reycycled and repackaged... Peter |

Cheers for the thoughts! The other suggestion I've seen is VW 505 01 spec oil, as the TD5 is a unit injector engine, much like the volkswagen PD diesels (which I also have one of) And thus the oil requirements are similar.
