NANOCOM EVOLUTION GROUP BUY
Hi all, I’m thinking about running a Group Buy on the Nanocom unit from Blackbox Solutions (a forum sponsor). This post is really a ‘run it up the flagpole’ type affair to start with, mainly to gauge interest levels and to determine if it will be viable (worth it). Discounts are available on kits, accessory items, additional cables and licences (but does not include remap for Discovery 3 TDV6) I’ll focus on the TD5 and Puma, but the deal will also include units for Discovery II (TD5, Motronic V, P38 (GEMS, EDC, Motronic) and CAN BUS Freelander, Disco 3 and 4, RR Sport 05 - 09, RR Sport 10 - 13 and RR L322 10 - 13. I’m sure I don’t need to go over the benefits of this unit, but some main points are highlighted below (clicking the hyperlinks will take you to current documentation with full explanation). For a full breakdown of what it can (or can’t) do, have a look at their website http://www.nanocom-diagnostics.com or feel free to ask here and i’ll try and answer (if I can’t, i’ll happily contact BBS and ask on your behalf). Defender TD5 - TD5 Engine Management System - TD5 Map a flashing function to remap the programmable type ECU's. Full of functions and features, the TD5 engine management software offers reading and clearing of fault codes, the read and write of certain settings including Injector codes. Viewing of Live data, checking of Outputs and putting the ECU into learn mode for the security coding. You should note that there are 2 variations of the TD5 ECU, MSB denotes a non programmable version where the later NNN can be programmed using the Nanocom Evolution. - Wabco ABS system (up to 2010) Functions include Read and Clear faults, View Inputs and check various Outputs on the ECU and you can also use the Nanocom Evolution to bleed the primary and secondary hydraulic circuits. - Lucas 10AS Alarm (up to 2010) The 10AS alarm will read and clear triggered events, allow you to view various settings and data as well as make and save changes to the data. You have a choice of Inputs again to see live data and can also test certain outputs to make sure the alarm is working as it should. Finally you can also program the PLIP/Fob (not the key) to the ECU. Puma 2.4 & 2.2 - Puma 2.4 & 2.2 Engine Management and Instrument Pack The functionality of the Puma Defender engine management and Instrument pack is quite limited in what is actually available to read and change but we are working to add flashing of software to these ECUs. Functions include reading and clearing of faults, changing of settings such as Speed limit (not removal), Fuel tank volume and Tyre size are available. You also have the option to view Inputs which is live data being transmitted from the ECUs. - Wabco ABS system (up to 2010) Functions include Read and Clear faults, viewing Inputs and the check of some Outputs on the ECU. You can also use the Nanocom Evolution to bleed the primary and secondary hydraulic circuits. Discounts 1 - 4 kits = no discount 5 - 9 kits = 5% discount 10 - 14 kits = 10% discount 15 - 19 kits = 15% discount 20+ kits = 20% discount Further savings can be made by paying in their base currency (which is the Euro) and by using an app/bank which gives true interbank exchange rates and no currency conversions fees. I’ll go into this further if the post looks positive. Don't forget, as a forum sponsor, a 10% discount is already there for the taking. This means we'll need to get interest in up to 15 kits Process - Interest gauged (sign up) until July 31st 2016 - If successful, i’ll contact BBS with details (I will need what you want to buy, your full name and email address via PM) - I give you a special discount code and you purchase through their website (no money comes my way, you pay them direct) - They post out by DHL and usually arrives within a couple of days. I’ll double check, but this isn’t UK only. They will post to Europe and Worldwide As always, there are other alternatives on the market which may, or may not be better. You can do your own research on this - but the nanocom does seem to be overwhelming accepted as the best of breed unit in the Defender community. More than happy for thoughtful, helpful and constructive posts, queries and suggestions. We are all grown up, so no blatant anti-BBS diatribe please. I do not work for these guys, just very happy with their product and use it on my TD5 (and soon my discovery 3). I get nothing out of this other than the same discount as offered. I do the leg-work, you get the discount. I’m genuinely just nice like that The one caveat is the offer will only be open to members of the forum with a joining date prior to this post (to stop people signing up just for the discount). If i've missed anything or you have any questions, please leave a message here or PM me. Ta Ben TD5 Defender 90 Discovery 3 HSE Last edited by huffhuff on 19th Jun 2016 9:22am. Hi Ben, Thought it was worth mentioning I purchased a Nanocom Evo via the LZ group buy you ran last year, it arrived promptly and with all the extras specified so thank you very much for sorting it all out
I'd like to add the Discovery 4 unlock pack code NCOM54 and also the screen suction mount NCOM30 please? I presume I'd also need the Canbus lead NCOM24 to connect up to the D4 or does it come with the unlock kit? Harry |

Very interested in a Defender TD5 package if this group buy has sufficient interest to go ahead.

Hi guys, obviously the saving won't be quite so good as before Brexit. But there is still a saving to be made and a bit more if you pay in euros.
You can also use a banking app on your smartphone, which gives true interbank rates and no currency transfer fees. Last time I bought something, paying with the free app actually saved an extra £51ish in various fees and exchange rates. I can PM anybody interested with details of the app. It's actually really good to use if you travel lots. You pre-load it with money and exchange to the right currency free and at great rates. You then don't have to use your credit or debit card. It's a mastercard so comes with full backup and security etc.. You can have a 'digital card' and they post a physical master card too. Hi
I actually have a Faultmate msv2 with Disco 3 license from my previouse car. What do you think? Is it better to change the license on the faultmate to a Puma 2,2 or to sell the faultmate and going for a nanocom evolution? Best Regards Charles |
