Nitram17 (his real name is Martin) has asked me to post up that he has been banned for arguing with Brendan.

This is a damn fine forum, and Martin is, from what I've seen, a very tolerant person. I would have every confidence in him, and if someone has been banned, I would be ONE HUNDRED PERCENT confident that there would be a good reason for it. Pickles. |

This is the problem though isn't it, people make all sorts of snide and hurtful comments and in some cases are even openly aggressive and everyone who is not on the receiving end thinks oh it's just a bit of banter and is quite funny without taking the time to consider it from the side of the victim yet then when the victim finally has had enough and deals with their tormentor in a suitably adult manner then the watchers suddenly start making a fuss about how the original perpetrators were utterly blameless. If someone gets banned it's because they have done enough to deserve it. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

As you all know, it is EXTREMELY rare that I ban anyone. It is not something I want to do on my forums but sometimes I have exhausted the number of times I warn someone of their behaviour. I am left with no other option than to stop someone posting and resolve off-forum.
Unlike some forums and the likes of Facebook and Twitter, this site has a terms of use (a code of conduct if you like). It means that you cannot be rude, insulting or post to inflame a situation. It's actually very simple - be polite. That's it. Some forums allow members to insult and troll each other. This isn't one of them, and won't be. It is a credit to the overwhelming majority of members that I still moderate this site alone. That says a lot about the general acceptance of the above politeness requirement and that you all usually play nicely   1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
