Upgraded turbo manifold gasket and studs?
During our rally through France and Spain this last week, I managed to blow the gasket between the exhaust manifold and turbo.

As I'm running as much power as I think I can get from the 2.4, I think it's probably sensible to upgrade this gasket and the studs to stop it from happening again.

Is there an upgrade kit out there or am I going to have to make a copper one myself?

Hi Mate, there is: https://www.nakatanenga.de/fahrzeugtechnik...turbolader

However if your upgrade the gasket in in order not to blow it, there is a big chance you will just move the result to a different location like warping your manifold. So my advise would be to install an EGT sensor and ease up a little on the throttle. Its still a Transit engine, no matter how much power you squeeze out. I'm pushing 200bhp out of my 2.4

Available in the UK from 4x4overlander.

I do not know of any upgraded studs.

If you have squeezed maximum power out of your engine, it might be worth considering backing the power available off a little bit.

Who's remap are you using? What other upgrades have you done?

An EGT might be worth considering. Madman EGT available from 4x4overlander as well

Ordered from Brendan and now fitted thank you!

One of the studs had sheered but not completely, a tiny part of it was still connected!

Also my old gasket... Well, no words needed...
