As it's probably a van tyre, it's probably got very little wear at 7k. As long as the tread depth is still nice and deep I'd probably replace the one, but with a matching of the other front.
Not driven any motorhomes, but several vans and minibuses. They a;; seemed to have different tyres on each corner and don't handle any the worse for it. |

What is the spare like?
If new get a tyre to match it and put it over the axle that wears tyres quickest. Through the damaged one out and keep the good one as the spare. Usually on any two wheel drives I put new rubber on the front but in this case either end will be ok. Always try to keep tyre depth the same across a driven axle to reduce spider gear wear. Cheers, Kyle. |

Thanks - i think you might be on to something - ill try and find out the tread depths, they are basically van tyres (allegedly more robust in the camper derivative)...so it might be ok
On the spare - frustratingly, It doesnt have a spare (half the problem) im tempted to keep the replacement as a spare - as a get me home tyre it will be fine Mike |

We run 60 plus van's, I'll be honest we just replace as they wear out / puncture etc, we do occassional pairs but really dependant upon wear ie if one tyre 9mm & next 2 mm but new are usually not much more than 8 mm so a 7mm to 9mm on the same axle would be acceptable provided they are the same tread pattern & tyre manufacturer 2020 P300 HSE

Ive just been out - fronts are at 7mm wear and the rears 9mm so i reckon the new ones will be 10 or 11 so its going to have to be pairs i think
I had the chance to get them at £100 in January now they are more £140 never mind Mike |

Probably best to replace in pairs. But keep the old one as a spare.
If motorhome isn't used a lot, damage could be down to weight sitting on one spot for a long time. Happens to mine. |

They are already replaced (got a good deal actually) - they were fine, but the one with no damage is a spare now Mike
