Playing again... fitted the black light surrounds. Not convinced, but I'll live with them for a while.

^ From that last picture I think they look good,
what is it with most Defenders with these original light grills they tend to look like they are sagging, or angled down? Looks to me like a sad face Is there any adjustment when you tighten them up to get them level? |

This is what I mean, maybe its me?
Is like when I'm behind cars at the lights and the number plates are not level... Click image to enlarge |

It is very saggy, the top left corner hits the grille tightly and there is little to no play in the fixing to adjust it without cutting things. Since it may only be a temporary fit I didn't want to tinker. The original grey surround tips the same but it does look worse in the black. James

I recall there is a mod to add some washers to the lower edges of the wings where they attach to the grill in order to push the wings level.
Will see if I can find the post.... Cheers Simon |

I think you're right, I'm sure I've read something about it actually being the wing dropping on that side. I'll be honest, nothing is very square, parallel, flush, equal or matching with the Defender so I just see it as character! James

Jow, my 110 will have the black pack grille/surrounds on soon as well - surprisingly though, I think the grey one suits yours better than the black. Perhaps because it just looks in harmony. Maybe once the black wheels are on it will be different though! I hope I like the black one on mine, got the original black pack one so not cheap - will be an expensive mistake. So lived with it a few weeks but we don't like it so the Santorini Black grille and light surround have come off. Swapped the badly corroded lower grille for a stainless steel one, much tidier.

It suits the Orkney Grey better. I think JOW will be holding on to the black grille in case black wheels go on Which reminds me, JOW I thought you were getting the boosts powdercoated in black?
