Hi there again,
Quick question if I can, I had a root around in the dash to locate my speaker wires and am now left a little confused, the only loose wire I can find has two wires running to it coloured black/white and black/brown. These match up with the other two wires in the back of the iso block. However unlike the drivers side which is split into two separate connectors this is a single black connector. Also you can see from the pics that the drivers side contains two connectors and 4 wires whilst the passenger is just one connector of two wires? Iso block with 4 wires Click image to enlarge Drivers side connections Click image to enlarge Passenger side? Click image to enlarge Anyone any ideas on this? Looks to me like it's wired for a very basic Mono radio (is there such a thing ??)
The ISO block is only wired for one speaker and a supply, the connectors on the second picture are certainly the same type as for a speaker, odd that they have two wires in each one though, that's suggesting there's provision for a second speaker somewhere. The connector shown on the last picture is not for a speaker or anything else to do with a radio, I don't know what else though. |

Haha thanks, I just found them, I can testify that they are indeed taped in the most awkward spot land rover could find I'm sure. One very sore hand later I managed to free them up, interesting that the black connector seems to be provision for a tweeter, makes life a bit easier when I come to put them in!
Thanks for your help, Lew |

Yes the 3 pin connector is for the dash-top tweeters. There will be one the other side too. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
