TD5 2001 door switch hook up
Is there an easy to get to cable for me to pick up the door switches as I am fitting an alarm and would like to "see" when the doors are opened? A common cable for both doors would be ideal.

I have all the dash out at the mo and would prefer to pickup from here rather than the engine bay.

Well strictly speaking its not an alarm I'm fitting its a tracker. The Defender does have the normal "green box" but that is switched off in the system I believe with respect to blipers.

"green box" anti-theft-alarm / engine immoralism . can be activated , save lot of wiring

sounder alarm battery backed / key fob

Thanks for the info DoresetSmith.

Before I started I had a good look on the forum and it seemed few people rated the Land Rover system saying it was easy to bypass. Personally I would have given it a go but I would have either had to pay a dealer to turn it on or by a Nanocom or similar. I favor the latter but the cost is prohibitive at the mo.

I'm intrigued by you attached drawing. Is the complete PDF available for download somewhere as it would be particularly useful?

Thanks again for your help,

Mike
