Wash some methylated spirits through it to remove any oil it will show up any leaks very quickly.
Then drain it out and leave it in the sun for a good hour to make sure it has all evaporated and is dry inside. Do not put it back on wet or with vapor inside it. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter  |

Could I use IPA (isopropanol) as I have lots of it and no meths!

Yup as shaggy dog says really.
Don't be shy with the gunk and water, really soak the cooler to remove as much grime as possible. If you want to speed the drying process up you can stick a hair dryer in one port and let it pass hot air through the cooler, dries it real quick. |
