I'm bored of all of this, as I know many of our little nation are - worse still, i hear many no-voters are getting so much stick about voting no, that they may abstain from the polls all together, this just means no democracy and instead a dictatorship run by fear? - surely the biggest conversation should be, no matter how we vote, how do we seize that opportunity going forward?
I'd like to see MP's forging ahead with other nations to secure deals should the british public vote out or in. I just can't understand why MPs are attacking each other when its up to the members of public to vote and the MPs to make the best of it... attaching the arguments only serves to alienate voters... MPs should be giving a fair and unbiased view of all things, not just this... have we really turned into the Jerry Springer country where stupidity rules ok? |

Martin has closed down two referendum threads, (TWO in the space of one day) without having a referendum. A policy change, decided and just forced upon forum members without an opportunity for a veto. He's gone all European Commission on us. Dastardly. Whatever next, straight Defenders? Worse than Juncker in my opinion.... Monsieur Le Grenadier

He probably has a vested interest for staying because of his huge hedge funds squirreled away somewhat in the EU For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Let's hope so There's not much point in having an unelected House of Lords if they are not going to block democracy when required.

It could be, but then again the UK has been threatened with some sort of revenge by the European elite and unelected cronies for even daring to have a referendum whether we remain or leave. Personally just the mere mention of a threat from the EU chief is enough to tell me where to place my ‘X’ on the ballot paper. ‘Leave the EU and we’ll make your lives a misery.’ Jean-Claude Juncker is quoted as saying, he also is quoted as saying that ‘he would treat Britons like cats that had their fur stroked the wrong way’ The trouble is that Jean-Claude Juncker being a French man is that he has no idea that when you threaten a Brit we do not scare to easily, unlike the Frenchies who historically do. In fact it is probably true to say that Jean-Claude Juncker is very afraid at the moment as he envisages the break-up of his dream French /German led super state, and that is why the silly man is spouting such threats trying to scare us in to remaining. I'm sorry if I was rude, it's not like me. I'm just so sick and tired of this whole sorry debate and so sick of people on both sides twisting the truth and only hearing what they want to hear. It's not long to go now and the country will decide its fate. To be honest, I'm starting to feel that the EU may be better off without the UK not the other way around.

Hi CS you have always appeared very certain of the future and i do admire a man with a conviction so i realise in you r mind this is never going to happen but..if say in five years time when we have withdrawn fully from the EU family and we are really in an economic mess and the liberal right have flogged of the NHS and forced us to work till we are seventy before we get our pension will you come on here and admit you were wrong..............and if we are living in a brexit utopia where the NHS is going from strength to strength our borders are secure and the only immigrants are skilled or temporary workers i will be man enough to admit you were right!....in reality i personally think we will be worse of out of the EU but not s bad as painted by osborne but not as good as we could be within.

I see a t shirt print in that statement ......but i prefer the more earthy and subtle......"Not all Brexiteers are racists" but "All Racists are Brexiteers" its a of statement of fact that leaves the reader a negative afterthought about brexiteers without resorting to lying! |

I've just finished watching a TV debate with Michael Gove.
Now a comment near the end of the programme from a remain supporter was "If we exit the EU, with foreign people doing the jobs, they'll all leave and the country will collapse". Now, does that not suggest to you that they believe we could not live without them, suggesting that British people are no good in our own birthplace and we cannot survive without them... They are doing cheap labour because in their homeland the value of their work is worth more to them than British people. Sone of them taking the money back to their homeland. It always has to be in the back of the mind that poorer countries will strive to improve, we are that option. By putting us down that improves their chances. Now Mr Gove, quite rightly said 'I don't think it's right to put British people down like that'. When the remain camp chooses to pull the racist card, that is acceptable just because we want control of our destiny. However, foreign works can quite happily say British people aren't any good and don't want work. Now I've made my points clear, as have others as Martin say's I don't want to continue bickering and will refrain from passing further comment where possible. This site is not really for these sort of discussions really and leads to heated comments and discussions. Really in all honesty I think this thread should be locked too and only keep the poll up. Then there is no bickering and just a bit of non confrontational info. Last edited by custom90 on 15th Jun 2016 6:57pm. Edited 1 time in total |

How pleasant... Perhaps you'd like to enlighten us and point to this survey of all racists in the country that says they are all voting to leave? I would be willing to bet £1m (if I had it) that there is at least one racist who will vote to stay - the chances of it being a "statement of fact" as you assert are indescribably slim. The fact is when there is a referendum the Status Quo normally wins. When most undecided voters get in the booth they will vote to stay in. For all the problems there are this is a good place to live and we have been in the EU for over 40yrs!! here's to the next 40!! Cheers
