It was getting a bit rubbish towards the end of the trio, they needed to change how they did things. Sounds like they've changed the presenters but not the format, and they needed to do both.

I watched it with the Mrs and again I though as she did it was ok.
They really are stuck, Change the format and people will not like and then Presenters are always going to divide opinions. Also I didn't know there was this program on the iplayer (top gear extra) http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p03wg...-episode-2 Jenson Button bit I liked , Scenery and filming I also like. |

Tell you what, to be absolutely honest...
Extra Gear, and their easy going but professional presenters, wipes the floor with the Top Gear omnishambles... Just sayin'... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Chris Evans does look rather like a refugee from 'Thunderbirds are go', at the risk of showing my age, but I suppose he can't help that. Tends to look rather as if he got dressed in the dark too. Difficult to imagine that the programme will be any better than his wireless programme. One wife - livid

I'm only 26 and I watched Thunderbirds when I was little!
In fact I re-watched them all again a couple of years ago |

I watched Ep2 last night and have to admit I quite enjoyed.
Think I'm over the initial shock of the 'new' or not so new... and just enjoyed it for what it is (and has been for some time): a very light entertainment motoring based programme. Also I'd rather it existed than didn't. I still think 2nd series (assuming it will happen) will see some changes. |

He certainly has a face for radio... And he even manages to mess that up... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

Somehow the previous mob managed to make it look less scripted (or better scripted) than this crowd - and it is a crowd, far too many people. Poor Sabine looked embarrassed whereas Jenson coped with it well, and we have yet to see Chris Harris (someone who knows what he's talking about). And sorry Eddie, off you go.
It would make a nice retirement gig for Jenson though. |

Yup, really liked last nights episode. A lot less Chris Evans is good, I like Matts style and the "real" presenters/drivers were really good. Chris H, Sabine, Rory were top notch and hopefully they will become main stream.
The two stars in the rally cross car was also good, I liked the driving which was very good and the comparisons of their cars was a good story, much better than the last two episodes. Will be watching next weeks to see if the improvement continues.... Cheers Simon Ps I'm 58... |

I enjoyed last nights too - I think Matt is doing a good job, and his trip through London with Ken Block was good fun in the end (I didn't spot the Cenotaph).
I was entertained, and that's all I expect from it. |
