Bike re-built. Bring on the Alps
For those interested in these sorts of things, my bike is now finished and I am ready to once again hit the roads in anger, building up to a week of local Tour hysteria, when it comes to town towards the end of July. Happy days Thumbs Up except it's pouring with rain over the weekend. Big Cry

It looks like you stuck wheels on a spare wheel swing away carrier? Where does the engine go?

Nice,

Years ago with my brother we spend ten days leaving from Annecy doing a tour of the Alps on our bike, awesome trip.

Back then though our bike were not that nice... we also had our camping gear, down the Cols we would hit 50 mph and more easily, At one point we had to stop to let the rims cool down !!

enjoy

It's known as retro Scotty, retro. Certainly looked it next to the Marco Bertoletti hand made (to the rider) carbon bike, with full Dura Ace Di2 plus 9000 power metre crank, Gokiso mountain wheels and a handful of cheaper items, wth estimated price tag of 20-large Thud Monsieur Le Grenadier

I have a bit of history with bikes, also wait until Greeni sees it Rolling with laughter

If you're into that sort of thing then I'm surprised you don't have a Kirk Precision in your stable.

My most "retro" bike is a Gerald O'Donovan built Raleigh that I first raced on although it does need a bit of TLC to bring it bike to anything resembling a bike. It's mainly Campagnolo Gran Sport but does have a Super Record fluted seat pin Thumbs Up

My "best" bike is still a handbuilt (for me) Dave Lloyd (google him if you don't know him) from around 2000 using his concept frame and full Campagnolo Record, best wheels Mavic Heliums.

Ignoring my track bike and mountain bikes I do also have a carbon fibre Planet X with Sram that cost about £1500 (cheap bike in the grand scheme of things) and setting aside its trendy 50/34 gearing is as good a bike as I've had and probably need.......
