There are many similar threads. There is nothing missing, they are all like that
 Possibly a transit mount.
Either delete youre thread or be prepared for a few sarccy comments unfortunately  |

Welcome to the forum.
That bracket is an enigma; there are (largely unconfirmed) rumours that the very first TDCis had a rubber mount there, but now the bracket is a bit like the human appendix - it serves no function at all. It does however help to boost the membership of forums such as this since it is the traditional first question asked by new owners. The traditional second question is "is the chukka chukka sound when I switch off the engine normal?" (yes, it is) closely followed by "what is the best tyre to fit?" (harder to give an answer)!
