the council has moved on asince the bad old days of guys spending all day proped up on a brum/spade,
now there are two groups, the larger group takes long periods of sick on a regulare basis but just manage to stay within the rules, sometimes by only a couple of days, then there is the smaller group (my group) that sees the good that can be done by providing the service we do and spend all are time trying to catch up, dam slackers |

Bm, they are Warn SDB-160HBE lights in EU spec, so street legal with a main and a dipped beam. They are good for a bit of extra light immediately in front, helping the headlights and yes as driving lights. They are however very expensive for what they are compared to the incredible power of the Lightforce 170's on top for roughly half the price which appear to light the road ahead for about half a mile! If I had a second go at it, not sure I would buy the Warns again, although they are available in a non EU spec of 100/90 watt rather than the 60/55 of the Euro spec....but they are legal

Kind of, I went there during the Tsunami disaster to help recover British victims. It was provided by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, so perhaps it was donated to them? |

war pig i did read that all the vehicals that where in country for reccie purposes where loand out to the local police/authoritys for as long as they needed them, i think at that point the behind closed doors desigion had been made to cancell the G4 anyway, so some free advertising, the land rover experience staff and vehicals are often pimped out to the emergency services when needed, they just stick a bobby in with a radio and away they go.

That makes sense. It was certainly a nice opportunity to drive a G4 Defender. Non of the other guys I was working with were interested in driving it. Perfect!

2009 G4 was cancelled. Thats not a 2009 spec car though... must just be a spot of free advertising. Can't do any bad. |
