BAS or Alive for EGR and Rev Hang?
Having done quite a bit of driving in the last month, I am at the point where the "rev hang' is really annoying me now!

Also, over the last 200 miles, on shut down my EGR valve is chuffing away like the Flying Scotsman!

Time for a re-map!

Lots on here have had one done using either Alive or BAS so I would really appreciate advice if either or both options;

1: Get rid of the 'rev hang' between gear changes
2: Close off the EGR valve... with all the benefits associated!

Many thanks,

Pete Smile YOLO... You Only Live Once...

I have read up on here about the EGR issue... sorted then!

So, does the re-map get rid of the 'Rev hang' please? Rolling Eyes YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Alive for me too, definitely on the EGR front.

The RPM stays UP when you take your foot off the accelerator and depress the clutch to change gear. It usually 'hang's for 1-2 seconds before dropping down to idle.

LOTS on here about it... Rolling Eyes

Apparently it is designed to smooth out gear changes and reduce 'backlash'. Personally I loath it!

So if either Alive or BAS have modded their respective 'map' to also remove the 'feature', that would be what I would be looking for... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Surely someone on here who has either of these 'tunes' would be able to advise... please... Neutral

Cheers! YOLO... You Only Live Once...

BAS & rev hang ...
Recently installed the BAS170.

Rev hang is still there - but an email to BAS may ascertain whether it can be "tuned out".

On the BAS app via the Bluetooth dongle: the "commanded EGR flow" shows up as zero - so EGR may well be electronically closed.

BAS 150bhp ecu upgrade fitted. Rev hang (previously a real pain) now gone.
