Exactly Clayton, hit the nail on the head there - 'if you can'

Was away last week and didn't get to post the pics Here they go now.
Have 'cleaned' the rear look of the 110 by installing clear indicators and fog light - wanted to do this for a while and I think it gives it a nice neat look. Click image to enlarge Also installed the Mud PHD - what a great mod! Have done a 1600 miles round trip to Italy and back last week and the heat distributor worked a treat - my calfs don't feel like roasted chicken anymore Click image to enlarge MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html MY16 Santorini 90 HT - sold |

Thank you sir, every little helps Having a major dilemma now about what wheels to put on as mines will go on wifey's 90 before summer. I've been through sticking to OEMs and put sawtooths on or adventure ones, then I thought that's too flashy (for some reason I find the dual finish fairly classic looking) so was thinking bowlers in 16, but I think they look better in 18 and I'm not sure I want to put 18s on as I want to take it greenlaning this summer and keep the more classic look, so now thinking about dotz dakar but I do lot of miles (now close to 20k after 11 months) and always thought alloys are gentler to the whole suspension than steelies so maybe sawtooths again but I know they won't be practical for offroading even in 16 size...going in circles third world problems... jk84, i know your feeling on the wheels!! I'm in exactly the same position, the call between classic looks, ride comfort, off-road performance and cost! I got so confused I've actually decided to hold off until next year.
However to throw another wheel in the mix... have you thought about the Manta or Manta Argento (very similar to the Twisted wheel but with a smaller off-set) which are available in 16, 17 and 18" with an ET10. I was seriously considering the 17" as a good compromise. I sometimes think the 16" look a little small on a 110 but I understand the 18" give a harder ride (and cost a fortunate). The 17" tyres are readily available as most pick-ups run 17" minimum and don't cost much extra over the 16". Just some food for thought! |

JOW, that's not helping it They do look very nice! I haven't even thought about 17s, it almost feels like everyone runs 16 or 18 ones. I was considering twisted 18s but they somehow feel larger then bowler 18s to me, can't explain why, probably because the spokes are more spaced out - so I think if I do pull a trigger on the 18, it will be bowler ones. You're spot on that sometimes 16s look slightly small for 110s. It kind of depends on wheels though and the offset - for example, the 8 spoke steels or modulars in 16 just always look great imo. Those 17 manta in your gallery are really good looking wheels, and the offset looks just right, that is something I miss on sawtooths - does seem to be a good compromise the manta. But then the 16 twisted you have saved look ace too here we go again...
My ideal wheels would probably be a non-scratch finish 16 sawtooths in black with et10 MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html MY16 Santorini 90 HT - sold |

Now that you've put it down Clayton, it doesn't sound too outlandish Wonder what the cost would be though... But I think I'm leaning towards the OEM sawtooths, so might be OK with 'normally' priced ones! MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html

To hell with it, you're right Clayton I'll shoot few emails around, worth a try anyway! Would be quite unique to have something like matt black 16 sawtooths with ET10... MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html
