Premium Cubby Box
Does anyone have any ideas whether there is a high top premium and lockable cubby box for sale anywhere? Exmoor do the premium high top XS which is the look I want (web link below) but it's not lockable. The lockable boxes they do don't have the finish I'm after. I need a locking box as it's a soft top truck.

LR's official cubby box (part no. VPLDS0239) looks to be the closest to what I'm looking (link below) for but at over £200 it's bleeding expensive.

Any ideas or pointers would be appreciated. I guess I could retrofit a lock to the Exmoor XS but would I do it without completely bodging the entire job......questionable!

I ordered an Exmoor trim one last year.

Looked great... from the outside.

They had made the box out of MDF Shocked ... and very quickly the screws used to hold the lid on pulled out...

Personally I would not buy another. Rolling Eyes YOLO... You Only Live Once...

MOST ordinary cubby boxes are MDF, You need to be spending ££££ for a decent one. I have this one and its HUGE inside and you can fit switches and sockets, To be fair im a Raptor Engineering likers lol

The FCX boxes fill the space really nicely. Had mine for a couple of years now and have been well pleased with it. Opted for the 'radio' version so I could tuck the CB out of sight too.

Only thing that put me off them was I was worried I would catch my arm on the radio lid when open and changing gears etc, Does this happen or was I being a Fanny ???

I can see how that might be a problem with some of the other makes, but the FCX one slides neatly inside so there's nothing to catch on. Thumbs Up
