Does anyone have any ideas whether there is a high top premium and lockable cubby box for sale anywhere? Exmoor do the premium high top XS which is the look I want (web link below) but it's not lockable. The lockable boxes they do don't have the finish I'm after. I need a locking box as it's a soft top truck.
http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/store/defender...etail.html LR's official cubby box (part no. VPLDS0239) looks to be the closest to what I'm looking (link below) for but at over £200 it's bleeding expensive. http://www.lrparts.net/vplds0239-defender-...rover.html Any ideas or pointers would be appreciated. I guess I could retrofit a lock to the Exmoor XS but would I do it without completely bodging the entire job......questionable! |

I ordered an Exmoor trim one last year.
Looked great... from the outside. They had made the box out of MDF ![]() Personally I would not buy another. ![]() |

MOST ordinary cubby boxes are MDF, You need to be spending ££££ for a decent one. I have this one and its HUGE inside and you can fit switches and sockets, To be fair im a Raptor Engineering likers lol

Only thing that put me off them was I was worried I would catch my arm on the radio lid when open and changing gears etc, Does this happen or was I being a Fanny ???

I can see how that might be a problem with some of the other makes, but the FCX one slides neatly inside so there's nothing to catch on. ![]() |
