A little more information has emerged...

In the last few days during gear changes, the revs increased, as if I was late backing off on the accelerator. Not every change, but a few isolated ones. It happened a bit more this morning, and I know suspect the clutch sensor switch might be sticking.

It's purpose is to reduce the engine torque for the clutch re-engagement, when shifting gears. Chances are it may have been sticking at reduced torque position, after a gear shift before, causing loss of throttle response.

Anyway, I'm ordering a new clutch sensor, and see what happens.

Cheers

Well I did replace the clutch sensor and that seemed to fix things.

I do feel however that it's more relayed to the clutch fluid going black and sludge collecting inside the sensor oriface.

Recently, it has started to play up again. Disconnecting the sensor wires seems to get rid of it. I've run it for 2 weeks like that, and all good. This time I will just clean the sensor and flush the clutch hydraulics. Hope to do that in the next week.

Cheers
