What is it with so much litter at the side of the road, I thought the scum who done community service after nicking some persons pride & joy defender, they were meant to collect it. Why can't the lazy ba$$ards take it home with them then dump it in their dustbin?. Jumped ship to reliability - Mitsubishi L200

There does seem to be a touch more of the Farcebook mentality starting to creep into the media at the moment. Debate is good for society and I for one can respect that others have different views to mine but bigoted blind sweeping statements do rub a little. The thread on the anti-hunt saboteurs Land Rover overtaking the tractor and the fracas that followed is one point in question, level headed comments are what I like about this forum. The fox hunting debate allways stirs up a heated exchange of views but why can't people just sit down and talk instead of rant, the ones that shout have generally lost the argument.
Another one of the strange phenomenons in the media is the fact that if you have an accident in a Land Rover you're guarenteed coverage in the press. The Defender that mounted the pavement the other week and crushed some people was soon identified and blasted, here in Hereford we had a RTC with a vehicle towing a stock trailer soon identified as a Defender being the tow vehicle. Plus it allways seems that the Land Rover is in the wrong. I suppose we should be gratefull that the polytechnic educated journalists (whoops doing a bit of my own stereotyping) don't call them all Jeeps |

Couldn't agree less,I blame the lazy, couldn't care less car driver (scum) who happily dump their rubbish out of the window. It's not up to anyone else to mollycoddle or clean up after them. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5. |

Quoting [ie reproducing] a huge umpteen photo post in full just to comment on it with a handful of words Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

In some ways I almost feel like saying be grateful that it is the car driver opening his window to dump the rubbishy. At least the car window limits the size of the rubbish which can be dumped. The mega scumbags use a tipping flatbed lorry. One of our local green lanes is often blocked by heaps of rubbish making it impassable. It would be interesting to know how much councils get from commercial tipping at their sites compared to the cost of clearing up the commercial fly tipping. Brendan |

Why cant you get a stack of pallets in the back of a 110
If anyone knows of a rear door mod so you can I'm all ears. Otherwise hunt for 130 may resume. Or stretch and rebuild, not sure yet... Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |
