The relay does nothing. Nada. If I jump a wire across it I can get the starter to turn over but not run. Also the dash is still skew whiff.

I tried all the relays out of my other tdci which I know to be working. No improvement.

I think I might remove the ECU and check the wires to it and earth next....

you jump a wire across power side ok can you tell if power is getting too coil from ignition switch side i would test the relay out of the socket i had relay fail i.e. coil open cct also check switch side of the relay too

That's me officially out of ideas. Banging Head

Removed the ECU, checked all connections and earths etc. Ran some new ones direct to the battery earth. Still nowt.

Taking it to a local Land Rover Specialist tonight. Hopefully won't cost too much.

So, the independent LR specialist fixed it. (Bow down Kirkstyle garage in Kemnay Aberdeenshire).

Dodgy wiring somewhere. No way I'd have managed to fix it myself. I went round while he was at it, he had all sorts of electronic gizmos attached to the vehicle. No parts needed just a length of wire.
