If it is calcium then you could try any of the hard water kettle tricks - bicarb of soda, lemon juice or vinegar. Spot apply and ensure you rise well afterwards.

Fitted my new black grille and lamp surrounds that I bought on eBay (thanks to Defender2.net for the tip off!), and black Defender badge.
From this: Click image to enlarge to this: Click image to enlarge Old badges easy enough to get off, using hairdryer. The residual foam pads were a little more tricky, but got there in the end. Fair to say that hot air and friction aren't kind to skin: Click image to enlarge In order to get the new badges straight and central, I taped a piece of plastic L section to the base of the bonnet, and used this as a guide for the edge of the cardboard template containing the badges. Worked perfectly (the bonnet is level when closed, but wonky when on the latch) Click image to enlarge Gave it a quick wash and then a few photos: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 2020 110 D200 Base - Pangea with satin paint protection 2015 90 XS Station Wagon (sold) 2010 110 XS Station Wagon (stolen) |

Sprayed some ACF-50 on the side steps. They were fitted new in December and are already showing signs of rust. Hopefully a regular spray will keep them in order.

Spent the day on an off road course with the Devon and Cornwall 4x4 response team as part of our training - its lovely to be able to take the 110 through its paces with an expert guiding and passing on tips ... i’m back in love with the traction control and dif lock !!
All day off road and only dirty wheels to show for it - that a first for me with no scratchers or wet seats (but I dd give the water feature a miss in support of not growing my cab heater !! ) Many thanks to the Honigton landrover experience team for a great day out Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |

Noticed the London Scottish sticker in the rear window of the SW. First team I played (mini) rugby for, some 37 yeas ago....and I immediately got into the swing of 'amateur rugby' and went for a pint and a pie at the Sun Inn after.... Admittedly I was only five... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

I forgot that i had this pic, its after i had pulled the recycling lorry backwards of the road that his was blocking, as he was turing around in the customers drive when he had a gearbox of neutrals and the mechanic could not fix, i managed to squeeze pass the back of the lorry and the hedge, about an inch to spare, the mechanic managed to get it in second gear and the driver drove it back to the workshop to be properly mended This was about 2 weeks ago
