Stainless bolt set - any Forum member able to fit it for me?
I recently ordered the Nakatanenga stainless steel bolt set. I now realise I don't have the skills, time, tools or patience to do this job (pathetic I know).

Is there any Defender2 member that would like to do the job - I would obviously pay the going rate. I'm in Peaslake, Surrey and don't mind travelling up to say 20 miles. Alternatively someone could come to me - I have some space and a garage to work undercover. I'm not in any rush and the job could be done over several weeks/evenings to suit.

Otherwise could anyone recommend a garage anywhere near me with experience of this job?

I would give Andy at AJS Tyres a go. He is in Kingswood, on the A217 and he has forgotten more about mods to Defenders than most people will ever know. He has done plenty of this type of work for me in the past and his guys are pretty cost competitive as well. Bonus is that he is a site sponsor. Peaslake to Kingswood, about 15 miles. You are near Shere I think.

Regards

Alan

^ Thumbs Up

Or Tef Gel which is also a one hit wonder - galling/galvanic/seizing.

Duralac is fine for the protection against galvanic corrosion in isolation, and it is good stuff, but as stated its not used to prevent galling/seizing. Thumbs Up

Hope you find someone to fit the bolts. Best of luck!

Thank you for comments and recommendations! No Def2 member fancies giving this a go?

I'm sure someone will make you an offer - were a friendly, helpful bunch on here.

If you were (significantly) closer, I'd lend a hand.

To be honest, maybe you should give it a go yourself, guided by the good advice available here.
You could approach it in stages and purchase the tools as you go.
You'd certainly get a great deal of satisfaction when the job is done Thumbs Up

Why not start with the rear crossmember bolts - there's plenty of guidance and advice on here already?
